Vestibular and Post-Concussion
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that can cause dizziness, headaches, memory issues, and sensitivity to light/sound. If symptoms persist for weeks or months, it’s called Post-Concussion Syndrome. Physical therapists will use treadmill testing and vesitibulo-ocular exams to determine the correct treatment and intensity needed to help normalize the body’s vestibular response and reduce the post-concussion symptoms.
Ultrasound Guided Dry Needling
Blood Flow Restriction Training
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is a specialized exercise technique that partially restricts blood flow to muscles using a specialized cuff while performing low-load resistance training. This method helps build strength, endurance, and muscle size while using significantly lighter weights, reducing strain on joints and tissues.

What is LSVT BIG?
LSVT BIG is an evidence-based, intensive physical therapy program designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions improve movement, balance, and quality of life. The “BIG” in LSVT BIG refers to the emphasis on large, exaggerated movements—helping patients retrain their brains and bodies to move more normally and confidently in everyday life.
This specialized therapy is rooted in principles of motor learning and neuroplasticity, and it focuses on improving amplitude of movement, which often becomes reduced in people with Parkinson’s. Sessions are typically one-on-one with a certified LSVT BIG therapist and involve high-effort, high-repetition exercises tailored to each individual’s needs.
Who Can Benefit from LSVT BIG?
LSVT BIG is primarily designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, but it can also benefit people with other movement disorders or neurological conditions that affect mobility, balance, or coordination. Ideal candidates include those who:
- Have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
- Are experiencing changes in walking, posture, or balance
- Want to maintain independence and improve daily functional movements
- Those who have other neurological conditions with similar movement challenges may benefit but will be determined on a case by case basis
If you or a loved one is living with Parkinson’s or another neurological condition, LSVT BIG may be a powerful step toward reclaiming mobility and confidence.
