Spinal and Extremity Manipulation
Spinal manipulation is a hands-on therapy technique used by chiropractors, physical therapists, and osteopaths to improve spinal function, reduce pain, and restore mobility. It involves applying a controlled, sudden force to a specific joint in the spine to improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and decrease surrounding muscle tone.
Vestibular and Post-Concussion
The vestibular system is part of the inner ear that controls balance and spatial orientation. Vertigo is most often caused by small crystals of calcium carbonate getting into the fluid-filled semicircular canals of the inner ear and is referred to as BPPV. When the crystals get into the canals they cause the body to have a difficult time orienting itself in space, thus creating the sensation of dizziness. Physical therapist are able to use different maneuvers to reposition the crystals and clear them from the canals, allowing the body to properly respond to position changes without triggering dizziness
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that can cause dizziness, headaches, memory issues, and sensitivity to light/sound. If symptoms persist for weeks or months, it’s called Post-Concussion Syndrome. Physical therapists will use treadmill testing and vesitibulo-ocular exams to determine the correct treatment and intensity needed to help normalize the body’s vestibular response and reduce the post-concussion symptoms.

Ultrasound Guided Dry Needling
Ultrasound-Guided Dry Needling (UGDN) is an advanced form of dry needling therapy that uses real-time ultrasound imaging to precisely insert a thin, solid filament needle into trigger points, muscles, tendons, or fascia. This technique enhances accuracy, safety, and effectiveness in treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
Blood Flow Restriction Training
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is a specialized exercise technique that partially restricts blood flow to muscles using a specialized cuff while performing low-load resistance training. This method helps build strength, endurance, and muscle size while using significantly lighter weights, reducing strain on joints and tissues.
Prescriptive Restorative Exercises
Physical therapists use a personalized approach to recovery by tailoring a variety of exercises to each individual’s specific injury and needs. By carefully assessing the injury and understanding the person’s lifestyle, therapists design targeted exercise programs that promote healing, restore mobility, and rebuild strength. These exercises not only focus on improving the injured area but also aim to prevent future injuries. With consistent therapy, patients can recover more efficiently, reduce pain, and ultimately return to their daily activities feeling strong and pain-free.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on treatment approach used by physical therapists to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance function. It includes various techniques like cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and Mulligan joint mobilization techniques to address musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
