What is LSVT BIG?
LSVT BIG is an evidence-based, intensive physical therapy program designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions improve movement, balance, and quality of life. The “BIG” in LSVT BIG refers to the emphasis on large, exaggerated movements—helping patients retrain their brains and bodies to move more normally and confidently in everyday life.
This specialized therapy is rooted in principles of motor learning and neuroplasticity, and it focuses on improving amplitude of movement, which often becomes reduced in people with Parkinson’s. Sessions are typically one-on-one with a certified LSVT BIG therapist and involve high-effort, high-repetition exercises tailored to each individual’s needs.
Who Can Benefit from LSVT BIG?
LSVT BIG is primarily designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, but it can also benefit people with other movement disorders or neurological conditions that affect mobility, balance, or coordination. Ideal candidates include those who:
- Have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
- Are experiencing changes in walking, posture, or balance
- Want to maintain independence and improve daily functional movements
- Those who have other neurological conditions with similar movement challenges may benefit but will be determined on a case by case basis
If you or a loved one is living with Parkinson’s or another neurological condition, LSVT BIG may be a powerful step toward reclaiming mobility and confidence.

TMJ Dysfunction Treatment
Our Physical Therapist Andrew specializes in targeted physical therapy for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and cranio-facial dysfunction. Using advanced clinical techniques and a patient-centered approach, we help those experiencing jaw pain, clicking, limited mouth opening, headaches, or facial tension caused by TMJ disorders.
What to expect
- Comprehensive assessment: We evaluate not only the jaw joint, but also the surrounding muscles, bite mechanics, cervical (neck) spine posture, and how they all interrelate.
- Skilled manual therapy & mobilization: We provide gentle manual techniques to the TMJ and upper cervical and cranio-facial region to restore mobility and reduce pain.
- Targeted exercise & home program: A personalized home-exercise plan helps restore optimal muscle balance, posture, and jaw motion so that gains made in the clinic carry over to daily life.
- Collaborative care: Recognizing the complexity of TMJ dysfunction, we work closely with dental professionals, orthodontists, and other healthcare providers when appropriate, to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan.
Who may benefit?
- Individuals with jaw pain, stiffness or lock/unlock sensations in the jaw.
- Those with frequent headaches, ear-aches, neck pain, or facial muscle fatigue that may stem from TMJ stress or dysfunction.
- Individuals whose posture or cervical spine mechanics may be contributing to jaw or facial pain.
- Patients seeking non-surgical, conservative management of TMJ disorders.
Why choose us?
Our clinic delivers TMJ care that goes beyond treating the jaw in isolation. Because the jaw, neck and posture are closely connected, we approach TMJ dysfunction through a full-body lens, helping address the root causes of your symptoms—be that poor posture, upper-cervical restriction, or repetitive jaw strain. With a certified TMJ-focused approach, we’re equipped to provide specialized care that many standard physical therapy practices don’t offer.
